Born from a passion for animals
The beginning
FurryJourney was born in 2024 from a simple yet powerful observation: pet owners spend a huge amount of time searching for pet-friendly places, reliable sitters, and fellow animal lovers. Romain, our founder, struggled to find a dog-friendly hiking trail and thought — there has to be a better way. That evening, the idea for FurryJourney was born.

Finding pet-friendly accommodation
"No pets allowed." Two words that turn a holiday into a logistical nightmare. 8 out of 10 rentals refuse dogs, even well-behaved ones. There's no centralised, reliable place to find the rare exceptions.
Finding a trustworthy petsitter
Facebook groups, word of mouth, sketchy classifieds... finding someone you can actually trust with your pet is stressful, time-consuming and often expensive. We deserve better.
Activities & places that welcome pets
Parks, restaurants, trails, beaches... Which ones actually welcome dogs? What do other pet owners recommend? The information is scattered everywhere — or simply doesn't exist yet.

Our mission is to build the world's most comprehensive platform for pet owners — a place to explore, share, connect, and thrive together. Not just for dogs and cats, but for every companion: rodents, birds, fish, reptiles — all welcome!

FurryJourney is built by a small, passionate team of pet owners, engineers, and designers who believe technology can bring animals and humans closer together. We're a startup — scrappy, fast-moving, and obsessed with the problem we're solving. Every feature is designed with real pets and real owners in mind.
What's coming
The app is available today: a pet-friendly map and guides, travel journals, events, pet service providers and stays. We're still building the rest — marketplace, health tracking — to make it the most complete platform for pet owners.
